Bled — the postcard lake
Bled (transfer to Bled) is Slovenia’s best-known destination: in the middle of the lake is the only natural island in Slovenia, with the Church of the Assumption reached by the traditional pletna boat, and above the lake, on a cliff, rises Bled Castle (first mentioned in 1011, the oldest castle in Slovenia). Bohinj — wild Alpine quiet
Bohinj (Belgrade to Bohinj transfer) is the largest permanent lake in Slovenia, in the heart of Triglav National Park — quieter, wilder and more untouched than Bled. Instead of bustle, it offers untouched nature: the Savica waterfall (about 78 m), the Vogel cable car to the viewpoint and mountain trails. It is ideal for those escaping the crowds.
