About 6–8 hours depending on the town, with a night departure at 23:00h via the Bregana crossing. Maribor and Ptuj are the closest, Bled and Bohinj a little further.
Do I need a passport for Slovenia?
Yes — Slovenia is in the Schengen Area, so a valid biometric passport is required (an ID card is not enough). From April 2026 the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) also operates at the border (photo and fingerprints).
Do you drive to Slovenia all year round?
Yes — we drive to Slovenia all year round, including the winter season for skiing on Pohorje near Maribor and in the Alpine resorts around Bled. Ski equipment travels at no extra charge.
Is the departure reliable, and do you ever cancel?
